Many expats talk about people from "up north" and get blank looks from their new countrymen this great article gels well with my memory of the divide that exists in the UK. Sad but true.
HI there, in my experience you certainly have this right. I was once asked by a Londoner if I need a passport to get 'up north' - in all all seriousness - she meant past Barnett roundabout!
